FGCU Football "Offers"

This story about the "offers" received by 100+ kids to play football at Florida Gulf Coast was interesting...since FGCU doesn't have an NCAA football team.  The volunteer club coach was "offering" kids spots on the team, even though there obviously was not scholarship money attached and not even any guarantee the kids could get into FGCU.

I really hope that kids (and their families) knew what was being "offered" and did not think that they were getting scholarships.  Some of the tweets make me wonder.

Follow up:  Glad to see that it appears the coach was very up-front with these kids.
