[Paint Touches] MU media predictions for 2019-’20
« on: October 28, 2019, 10:04:37 AM »
The "media" collective pegged 2019 almost exactly, getting the exact W/L record, BEast seed and NCAA seed. This year's collection has much more variance from high to low though. Feel free to bookmark this and point and laugh throughout the year as needed.

Interesting to see that everyone thinks we'll beat CU at home and (almost) everyone thinks we'll lose on the road.  I would have thought there'd be a little more optimism against them.  Also assuming that the poll was done prior to Epperson's injury and the consensus would now be that they're a more "sweepable" team.
I'll stick with my opinion on Gold.  He'll be in foul trouble within the first eight minutes.

It was, and that's definitely a more sweepable team now.

Were last year's predictions made before Greg Elliot was known to be out?  Ike?

Rob Lowe looking for a late season swoon for a second straight year.  (2-5)

You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Greg's thumb injury was already priced in, as that was from early Oct and these were posted on Nov. 1. It was not known he would miss the year until Dec.

For me it was less about Creighton and more about Wojo being 1-4 in Big East openers.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

I love this chart from Andrei for it gives hope.

If you look at the final 11 games, while Howard and the Hausers all suffered efficiency declines, Sacar, Morrow, John and Bailey all increased to very nice levels.  With Koby coming on board and these four having increased roles, I am optimistic regarding this year's team.  And that doesn't even factor in the vastly improved ball handling depth.

As I believe Andrei implies in his article on maximizing Markus' effectiveness; let's largely get the ball out of Markus' hands until it's time to score.
