Didn't want to add this to the recruiting article, but this is a really good article by Norlander on guys that will probably drafted after being lowly ranked out of high school.

It's almost like players develop in different ways and at different times.
Sometimes a coach makes a difference and sometimes the player gets better mostly from his own hard work. Sometimes he plays on a loaded AAU team and just doesn't play a lot. Sometimes he is just a late bloomer......

Good stuff indeed........Wade, Jae and Jimmy would have fit nicely into an article like this when they were coming out.

Mark Few shares a great story about Brandon Clarke, who drew attention in practices during his redshirt year when guarding Johnathan Williams III for the scout team:

"He had this uncanny ability to block his jump hook. Not coming over on help from the side, but guarding him one-on-one...I was like, 'OK, you don't get to guard J3 anymore. This isn't realistic. There's not a guy in the NCAA who can do this."

I also like what Tom Crean had to say about Nicolas Claxton at Georgia:

"So many times you have to coach people ahead of where they're going to be strength wise, game-wise, so it's not a shock to their system once you get there."
