markus is an incredible scoring talent.  great at creating space and great tough shot maker.  but he has no idea how to change his game when hes not hot and how to affect the game in ways other than getting buckets.

to me this is markus's problem:

every dribble his eyes are about to the floor about 3 feet in front of him. i get that its just a shooting drill in an empty gym but it absolutely translates over to the game for him.

compare that to a workout like this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rq3hxNIsRk0

head is always up working on passing with both hands and functional ball handling.  i would love it if markus got an invite to steph's camp like he did cp3's.  he should be doing a ton of video study on steph and not so much on rockets players who go 1 on 1 isolation with all the stepbacks and sidesteps.  of course steph can get hot and he can throw up some awfully terrible shots for people not named stephen curry but steph is incredible at moving the ball and then moving himself to get open and manipulating his man based on the threat of his ability to shoot.  defender gets running at him, quick pass off to a teammate and then relocate to get open. you see a ton of professionals working on ball handling drills where they're dribbling a ball with a trainer in front of them and the trainer tosses a tennis ball that they have to catch or some variation of that.  markus does not seem to have ever done this type of a workout.

markus has tunnel vision on the tin at all times and he has no idea how to play when hes not nba2k rookie mode markus nailing anything he throws up, and it really shows down the stretch of games.  teams know the ball is not going up from anybody other than markus and it makes it so easy to defend him.

Has to learn how to pass. Playing this bad last 4 games will help those NBA scouts till him to go back to school next year

Markus never was going to the nba.  He doesn't have the height, isn't very good and distributing, and a poor ball handler.

Amazing scorer.
