Doing a little research with Pomeroy and the handy-dandy MU Scoop Wiki, last time MU won 16 of 17 was in the 77-78 season, won 17 of 18 in a stretch from December 26, 1977 to February 20, 1978. That stretch included home wins over #11 Vegas and #18 DePaul. This year's stretch has had home wins over ranked teams K St, that school 78 miles to the west and Buffalo, and a neutral-site W over a UL team that wasn't ranked at the time but is now (and has quietly put together its first-ever 6-game ACC winning streak). Not bad. Not bad at all.
