The new tax law penalizes employers with a 21% excise tax on any salary over $1 Million. I got the help of a professional to see how that might impact Marquette and what ways athletic departments in particular may try to skate around that. 

Thrilling, I know, but what if I told you the tax penalties on Buzz' compensation in his tenure would today be more than 1 year of Wojo's salary?
