Mods -

In general, are superbar topics now being pro-actively locked before they take a turn?

In the recent past, things would be left open until it got dicey, personal, inflammatory, insulting, etc.

But more recently, things will be shut down without any seeming lines being crossed.

Best example I can give is the Mike Tirico thread.

Herman Cain

Kostas thread was locked and things never got ugly.
