We had the Chicago State game in hand pretty much the whole time, and it was a nice feeling. But late in the second half, I thought we'd see Wojo push the guys to mix up the offense a little bit to try to work on the interior game or to at least try to get something going inside the three point line, and we never really did. I was happy to see the younger guys get some minutes, but wouldn't this be a good time to improve on some weaknesses too? I'll admit this might be overly critical because I'm still not sold on Wojo, but I wanted to see something other than launching 40 threes against our worst opponent on the schedule.

I feel like a solid basketball practice would do more to improve different looks then 10 minutes of garbage time against Chicago State.

If wojo was asking guys to do anything at the end of the game, I hope 100% of his requests were about defense!

I think you found your answer.

The Lens

We were barely up in the 2nd half

Up more than 20 with 8 scholarship guys and the week MU has coming up, Wojo did exactly what he was supposed to do - give the kids some rest and avoid an injury.

I can agree with this. That makes a lot of sense.

We tried what looked like a 1-3-1

Yep, not sure if it was a little different than the first half, which might have been an attempt at a 3-2 and was terrible.  But they zoned for a few possessions in the second half and it seemed to work out ok.  Anything that gets stops is fine by me.

Well, Wojo has done a 1-3-1 in the past.  Remember Derrick running the baseline?  I didn't record the game.  Who did that?  Cain could be a candidate maybe.
