Ratings were down before he tweeted a thing.  Why is it that Pence's move is a PR stunt, but what these guys do every single week to gain attention (the definition of PR stunt), isn't?

I assume it's the planned PR stunt combined with taxpayer money spent on the trip? Pence also tried to play it off like he wasn't going to do what he did the whole time. It was clearly a planned event to walk out. Though I wonder if he got upset with the cameraman that wasn't respecting the flag/anthem by taking a picture during it.

Nothing says respect for the flag more than using it for a self-aggrandizing stunt. Trump and Pence have taken over ownership of the flag as if it is theirs to own.

As I said earlier, I will no longer stand or salute the flag till these creeps are out of office. Nothing mocks the flag more than supporting these people.

Eh, I think you overestimate people's willingness to get into confrontation. Nobody's gonna try and start a fight with someone whose sitting down, especially if they've paid over $100 a ticket.

The players made the flag an issue, now those who feel doing that is inappropriate are reacting. This is all as American as apple pie.
