I'm heading to the BE tourney this year for the first time with a few friends from MU. Are there usual bars where  MU fans meet up before games? Hopefully we can get a decent crowd at MSG for the Seton Hall game on Thursday.

You could try emailing marquetteclubnyc@gmail.com. I believe that's who usually arranges any alumni events. They are usually at Mustang Harry's, but it sounds like they are closed for a few weeks.

I will be there with some friends and coworkers. I usually do most of my drinking at MSG or if the weather is nice, go to Local Cafe & Cocktails. It's a beer garden with an open rooftop right next to MSG.

I just joined the Facebook group for the Marquette Club of New York & New Jersey. According to their page, they are having a meet-up at Mustang Harry's tomorrow at 12:30. Get out there and cheer on Marquette with other NYC MU fans. It's a nice little spot and they do a great job putting together events there.

Sadly I am missing out for the first time in a 4 years.

Mustang Sally's is always the pre-game spot.

Get ready for those $12 Bud Light @ MSG!!!! HAHA. Go MU!!!

Porky's Butthole

Nothing against Mustang Harry's but for a post post game spot with tons of history and character, the bar at Keens Chophouse is great.  It's just a few minutes walk from the Garden on 36th St just east of 6th Ave and they have a great pub menu with less expensive fare than the main dining room, but if they win and you're up for the $55 ribeye, by all means have at it!  The full menu is availabe in the pub as well.

They also have a large collection of smoking pipes on the ceiling and walls.

Mustang Harry's is a ripoff.  They banged our money pile heavy and charged us for pickles. Look elsewhere. I like the basement at Stout.
