MU is a #4 seed (playing CS-Northridge) out in Anaheim in the South bracket.

Of note, Wisconsin is also a #4 seed.

And he currently has NINE Big East teams in the dance.

I would imagine an Anaheim selection would work out nicely for you Chicos.

I already have tickets, it would work out very well....10 minute drive.

I'd take it....though the last three MU NCAA games I've been to have all been losses so perhaps it's good they go elsewhere.   ;)

And if you combined the first half scores of last three NCAA games, you could line your birdcage. We've faced an average first half deficient of almost 20 points at the break in those games.

If there weren't people on this board to tell me otherwise, I'd say Marquette has a history of showing up extremely tight in the NCAA under Crean.

No doubt about it.  Could you imagine how badly we could have beaten Kentucky if we didn't start that game so tight.  Do you think we would have won by 40?   ;)

We did start that game tight. Robert Jackson was the only one (including Wade) who didn't look ready to crap his pants in the first 5 minutes of the game. In the previous game against Pitt, I think Wade had 2 points at halftime, by the way.

...and ended up with 21.  Not to mention the game he looked "ready to crap his pants" he ended up with 1 of 3 triple doubles in the NCAA Tournament's history.  29 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists...and 1 soiled pair of underwear.  The end result means more than the start.

We were tight against Holy Cross and almost lossed. If we win the first game MU players will have the monkey off their back. I still think part of the problem is Crean goes from coaching to win to coaching not to lose in the NCAA tournament. MU teams need to be agressive. They are not good if they play conservative.

Ive seen this two or three times now and it makes me cringe every time I see it. Lossed is not a fricking word. We almost LOST not lossed. Come on now we're all (most of us at least) well educated individuals.

I dont know about the coaching not to lose part.  We have been to what 2 NCAA tournies since the final four.  Both times we struggled against teams that were bigger  and more physical.  The Alabama game TC made great adjustments to get us back in the game after Hendrix and the other big dominated inside and Felix was on fire from 3 and we still were a wide open 3 from NOvak away from either winning or tying the game.

THe Michigan State game I feel was the perfect storm.  The teacher badly outcoached the student, Michigan St was just way to big and physical for a team that didn't really have a big other than Barro and McNeal probably our best player at the end of the year was out.  This will be the year to truly judge if he coaches not to lose or coaches to win come tourny time as we should be a 3, 4 or 5 seed.

Some people still upset about a final four loss.

I see OSU fans here that want to fire tressel for being embarrassed twice now in the championship back to back.

I bought the guy a drink and told him to grow up.
