I haven't seen this mentioned...

Markus is 3rd in the country in 3PT% at 56.9% and #1 for players with at least 4 3PA per game.  CRAZY!

While 37/65 is a small sample size and his percentage will surely go down dramatically,  I think it's safe to say that MU has its first marksmen PG in WAY too long....

Howard Off To Impressive BIG EAST Start
Freshman guard Markus Howard, who has yet to celebrate his 18th birthday, has played like a seasoned veteran over the course of his first four BIG EAST games.
The Chandler, Arizona, native is currently averaging a team-best 20.0 points per game in league play while shooting 55.1 percent (27-of-49) from the floor overall and an amazing 69.6 percent (16-of-23) from behind the 3-point line.  In the overtime victory against Seton Hall, he chipped in a team-high 22 points thanks to a 4-of-6 effort from long distance.
Through games of Jan. 11 in BIG EAST action, Howard is ranked among the league leaders in eight different categories.
Howard's season-long free throw percentage (.939) is tops in the league and continues a family tradition.  His brother, Jordan, is a junior at Central Arkansas and is currently ranked seventh in the nation in that category (.930).
