As long as they're fleeing due to a reduction in playing time due to competition, I can more than live with it, I can feel good about it.  What a shame DePaul can't pick them up.  Maybe the Big East should give DePaul a wavier of the intra-conference transfer restriction rule until they are competitive forever.
