Henry is a Marquette alum and I will view him like any other Marquette alum in the pros.

Doesn't he have to be a graduate to be an alum?

No. An alum is just a former student.

fjm

This thread is dumb.

Scoop complains we never get any 1-and-done 5*, McDonald's all Americans...

Then we get one! WOOO!

Then he leaves, like most expected him to do...

Then we crush him because he only stayed 1 year and HOLY CRAP even some don't view him as an MU alum!

Go home Scoop... you're drunk.

Chicos recycling a Chicos topic.
If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

I feel no real connection to Henry as a Marquette alum. There's definitely not the same excitement and intrigue as for Wade or Butler or Crowder or Wes or Novak or even fringe guys like Blue, McNeal, Buycks, Zar, DJO, etc. He played at MU for 1 forgettable season and left as an unfinished product. Sure, he put up big numbers and was the best player on a mediocre team, but MU accomplished nothing with him on the roster. There was very little that was memorable about his season in blue and gold and, for whatever, he just doesn't move the MU Needle for me.

Perhaps I'm alone on this. Anyone else have any of that going on?

I, unlike others, do not. Who IS. A finished product when they leave Marquette? Was Wade? Wes? Jimmy?

I saw a lot of Henry starting in Jr high... from high school, to travel, USA Basketball, etc.

I'm beyond pleased that he spent his college year at Marquette.
The portal is NOT closed.

RushmoreAcademy

Scored his first NBA points last night.  2 points, 3 reb in 2 min.

Yep, I suspect the wide majority of us are pleased and hope Henry does well in the NBA.

So that would be 48 pts / 72 (easy) rbs per game, hey?

Can't believe we're living in the land of F 452/1984/Animal Farm/Brave New World/Handmaid's Tale. When travel to Mars begins, expect Starship Troopers

Goose

I am very happy HE had his year and enjoyed watching him big time, sounds like much more than others. Had great seats at the Badger game at UW and the Butler game at home and awesome to watch him up close.

I still believe he becomes a very good/great pro and has a very long career.

burger

I would like to get played $3 million to cheer lead a team and sit in the front row at 82 NBA games.....

Not a bad deal......

Anyone turning this job down????
