We spoke with ten bloggers or writers, each covering a different Big East hoops team. We did this so we could learn about each team from someone who knows them best.

We've finally finished releasing the articles. View them on our website. Here is the final one, Marquette: https://marquettenation.com/2016/10/02/big-east-preview-marquette/

Thoughts?

One thing I found interesting... Here are the predicted finishes for Marquette from each individual writer:

6, 7, 7, 5, 4, 6, 7, 6, 5, 7

More than half the writers think we will finish either 6th or 7th. Sounds about right as far as predictions go. After all, we were 7th last year with an NBA first round power forward who's now gone.

But for some reason I along with many others think we have considerably high upside. Why is that? Most point to talent. And, sure, we have some very good additions in Howard, Reinhardt, Hauser, and Rowsey...

Then again, our returning core is a roster that finished seventh, missing its most talented player...

Why do you think we're going to finish better than the predictions suggest?

For all the writers, I would have to agree.  To many question marks right now.  How does Wojo use 12 players?  Do 12 players deserve time?  What Duane Wilson
will be there this year?  Can Fisher stop making stupid fouls?  Carter learned enough to stop throwing the ball all over the place?  Is Rowsey to small?  Can Reinhardt
fit?  Is Hauser and Howard good enough to play and contribute?  Will JJJ be consistent on both ends?  Who is going to take the last shot?  Pre-season should be
interesting, but the biggest question, can Wojo mesh them into a cohesive unit?  You can go on with all 12, is Matt Heldt ready to contribute?

The other writers have no idea, nor do we.
