big east beauty skin deep

still scratching my head to try and see if there were ANY conclusions made in this article but it is a somewhat shallow (ironically) recap of the state of the big east basketball-wise....
Once a warrior always a warrior.. even if the feathers must now come with a beak.

Hmmm...you could look at EVERY conference and say the bottom teams are bad.

Oh well, at least Marquette is part of the "good"  ;D

I think his conclusion is that all of the conclusions are correct.  I'm not sure that's actually possible.

The one thing that I took away from the article is that the Big East will always be on the high end of sending teams to the big dance.  It's just a shear numbers thing.  But you can't discount the teams that are the perpetual bottom feeders in basketball.  Even though you can't get excited about S.Florida's b-ball, they were a decent addition to the conference as a whole b/c of their other sports.  The author is looking at the conference too narrowly when he highlights the dark spots.  Every conference has teams that suck in a particular sport, but there are few schools that aren't good at something (at least every once in a while).  The conference as a whole is a healthy union of schools right now, just because the basketball teams got off to a slow start shouldn't sound off a call that the conference is doomed.
