I know we are all on pins and needles for Kalif Young, but how is 2017 recruiting proceeding.  I know there has been quite a few offers out there but is MU close on
any.  Losing 3 pretty good players next year, one with some size and 2 small forwards or guards.  Really do not need to replace Johnson and Reinhardt as MU still needs
some bigs, any word?

My chart on P1 of the recruiting thread is reasonably current.

Earl Tatum

A Few names from Wisconsin depending on academics and talent are----
Terrence Lewis of Milwaukee Riverside, Wonder if Jordon Poole from Milwaukee King is still
tied to Michigan, Former MU Recruit Philip Flory is also in this class. Was injured last year.
One guy to check out is Bennett Vander Plas 6-8, 230 from Ripon. Minnesota-- Not so sure on
Goaner Mar, Theo John and McKinley Wright. Heard other teams are stepping in. Correct me if
I'm wrong.

We need to make a major push on Theo John. He is exactly what we want.

Don't think Lewis (could change?), Poole or Flory are in the mix.

John in the mix. Don't think so on Mar or Wright.

Watched Flory last weekend for a couple games at Team Duke Shootout. He doesn't look like the same player from before injury -- thicker and not as quick laterally. Can shoot lights out, but probably just getting into game shape. Kid busts his butt though. I'm thinking he won't pan out to be a MU-level recruit.  Saw both Hausers too, Sam was decked out in MU gear and looked real lean and cut (neither was playing in event).

I hope Flory can find a good college home that best fits his game and have a great career.

His AAU team gets decent exposure and a good deal of scouts at their games, so he definitely has a shot. His Oshkosh North high school team will be one of the better teams in the state next year as well. It only takes one scout to fall in love with his game and I'm told he's an absolute gym rat so I'm sure he will be back to full strength by the end of summer. His AAU team ends in Vegas during the live period too, so plenty of time for more looks.

It would appear he is not outraged about Wally getting Pol-axed.

That was widely predicted, but since he didn't commit to OU soon after his visit and declared that he would take some other visits (including Marquette) some folks have changed their thoughts on his destination.

Vander Plas is not a high major player in my opinion...I've seen him play a couple of times and I haven't been overly impressed. Talented? Yes, but getting to the hoop vs a bunch of 6'2 kid shouldn't be that difficult...
