New York — Marquette (19-12, 8-10 Big East) will take on St. John's (8-23, 1-17) in the first round of the Big East tournament at approximately 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Madison Square Garden following the game between No. 8 Georgetown vs. No. 9 DePaul. The Golden Eagles, which are the only team to play in the quarterfinals each season since joining the conference in 2005-'06, will aim to continue that streak with a victory over the Red Storm.
