Again, Wojo could have landed a useful grad transfer or two had he looked at more guys. There were more than 2 quality grad transfers, but my understanding is he only offered Miller and Lee.

Nichols wasn't a grad transfer. I mentioned Tomas Gielo.

And I don't recall MU actually offering Gielo, just looking into him. They very well may have, but he certainly wasn't a focus and was a more a last ditch effort after MU had lost out on Miller and Lee.

When will mid-major / middling basketball programs stop letting their good players graduate before their eligibility runs out?  This has to be a topic internally with basketball staffs, slowing down guys progress. Not to be cynical but is MU pushing Duane to stay on a 4 year graduation track, knowing he could go somewhere else for his 5th year senior season?

I know. God forbid that these players graduate.

But if Duane leaves that's fine. I will miss him but that's a choice he earned.

100% they have earned it.  I have no problem with the rule but I bet internally at ASU someone said, "why did we let Trent Lockett take so many classes?"

You think that there will be more than two power forward grad transfers that are BE ready?  Outside of the two he looked at last year, who would have had significant impact and would have had MU interest?

Lee wasn't a power forward like Miller, but yes, there were definitely more than two and will likely be more than two again this year. Not saying they'd be stars, but they would have had an impact on our team. Here are other names in no particular order:

• Tomasz Gielo: Averaging 9.0 ppg/3.8 rpg for Ole Miss. Would have been useful here.
  
• Anton Grady: Cleveland State transfer is putting up 7.1/4.7 for Wichita State in just 17 mpg. Would probably have played more here and definitely been able to get minutes.
  
• Joe Uchebo: Pitt transfer may have been interested with the chance to play for a high major, instead averaging a double-double (12.9/11.4) for Charlotte. Doubt he'd have put up those C-USA numbers here, but he would have been useful.
  
• Rafael Maia: Brown transfer took Uchebo's spot at Pitt. He's a high-efficiency, low usage guy that is great on the glass. Averaging 2.4/3.9 in just 13.1 mpg.
  
• Arthur Edwards: New Mexico transfer averaging 10.0/4.1 at Alabama. Maryland native, so maybe Wojo could have sold him on common roots.
  
• Durand Johnson: Averaging 11.0/4.9 on the year for St. John's, though his scoring is bolstered by averaging 19.0 ppg in his two games against us. We pursued but couldn't get him away from Slice Rohrssen.
  
• Denton Koon: I know, he's only playing for Hofstra, but he's averaging 11.5/7.3 for a top-100 team. He also averaged 10.7/7.5 in seven games against kenpom top-100 opponents, including Florida State and South Carolina.

Granted, there are some that transferred and have been less inspired (Alonzo Nelson-Ododa, Braeden Anderson, Antwan Space) but there were definitely options out there that could have contributed.

Thanks Brew. You beat me to it - busy day. And those are just the PF types - MU should have been after a PG and clearly also had interest in wing types. PF wasn't really a priority with Henry in the fold.

Bottom line, and my original point, was that there are going to be options out there who can fill the void of a traditional PF. I hope Wojo goes after the top tier options (Blossomgame comes to mind), but there will be other options that are less sexy but would help this team a ton next year on the glass and defensively. Anim and Wally are not PFs.
