Golden Eagles play giant-killer

MU faced a Big East heavyweight Friday night and didn’t flinch. The Golden Eagles stood toe-to-toe with St. John’s and emerged with a 67-64 victory at the Al McGuire Center.

The women's team is going to be very, very, good. Coach Kieger is doing an unbelievable job with the team and turning the women's program around.

Coach Krieger is doing a great job. Her freshman laden team has grown-up and jelled.

Maybe she could offer a suggestion, or two, to Coach Wojo who, after 21 regular season games, appears to not know what to do next with his "20 minutes on, 20 minutes off" team.

Regardless, Coach Krieger's team is much more fun to watch.
