Depaul misses first, makes second, attempet to miss third ft and didn't hit rim. Hall survives. Looking at how these teams are going after rebounds we really need to improve on the boards.

Yup.   Going to have to defensive rebound with all 5.

Think those who rank on DePaul need to reconsider their thoughts.

It was one game.  We've seen that from DePaul before - a decent game or two, then a prompt fall back to the bottom.  I'll reconsider when I see DePaul put together a decent season or two.

Three years ago DePaul started 9 - 3.  They beat Auburn, Az State and then Providence.

We burned up this board saying Purnell had finally turned it around they might be a bubble team for the Tourney.

They finished the season 1 - 15 for 11-21 overall.

Patience Grasshopper, this is Depaul.  Give them enough rope and they inevitably hang themselves.

Depaul had a career shooting night from 3.  SHU had probably their worst shooting night from 3 for the year.

Depaul still lost.

Bad teams can stay with good teams when they are hot from three.

It has been a LONG time since I've heard someone use this phrase.

I think we still look at ourselves as superior based on history. There are no easy outs in the BE. As of right now who are in the bottom  half of the BE?  Take your choice but is it fair to include 'Nova, Xavier, Providence, Butler or Seton Hall in that group? If not then by default MU is in the bottom five. A little too close to start attacking DePaul given their respectable showing against a solid team. When we have a respectable game against a solid team this season we have reason to think we are a .500 team. Until then we might want to keep the criticism of other teams to a minimum. But, hey what do I know.

Apparently not that long ago since you remembered the term.

But they already beat a top 25 team.
