So me and my friends made a group on facebook called "Remember that time that MU ruined UW's 28 game home winning streak?". You guys should join it and invite all your UW friends to it.
Here is the link:

I wouldn't stop you guys from creating a new group .. but there is a group for MU fans that's pretty solid.  It does have some anti-Scoopites who are openly critical, though.

It's not really a group, it's an application.

EDIT (spiral97): flames are DOA here.

No reason to call anyone out on being a tool, and working with Andrew on the "other" site I happen to find him to be a great guy.  While I think a lot of the animosity between the sites is senseless, it's stuff like this that fuels the tensions.  Even if you have a problem with someone, no need to air it out in public.

Agreed.  Keep it clean.  We're all pursuing the same goal - giving the MU fan base online outlets.  Let's be respectful of the work being done for this cause.  If you don't agree with a particular outlet then ignore it.

This message is not targeted at any one user here but rather the general community as this is has been a reiterative issue.

Further, there's no need to dance around the names of other boards either.  We encourage 100% open sharing.  I presume you are talking about the Scout board - definitely a good site for further reading about our favorite college team.

Aren't we all just Marquette fans and shouldn't we be supporting each other for that?  I thought that was the coolest part about going to the MU vs. UW game...you would see other people wearing gold and point across the arena at them and they would point back, and it could've been the first time you ever saw them but your feeling was "Damn that person must be pretty freaking sweet, he's wearing gold."  Also standing outside of the student section during halftime and even the older Marquette fans yelling at UW students "Get some athletes red!" and all of the people wearing yellow giving each other high fives.  Even the team joined in, as they all ran towards the UW student section after the game popping the "Marquette" on their jerseys and when they saw me and my 2 friends in yellow just started pointing at us.  Whether it's MUScoop or any other forum or no forum at all, we're all Marquette fans.

Exactly.  It should be noted that for the most part, Scoop people are accepting, and try to encourage community between the sites.  We even go so far as to delete (as above) insults levied at, or users of, the MarquetteHoops site.

Unfortunately, the truth is, the opposite is not true.  Some, like this Andrew Soros guy, wear their dislike for others on their sleeve, disparaging at any opportunity.  That's his prerogative to take the low road.

I apologize for my comment, I have my own dislikes towards that site due to some billing issues and hence will never return again.

I really don't understand the need for someone like Sharos to go out and attack Scoop like he has. As a reporter for Hoops and a former member of Marquette's Student Conduct Board, he should know better.

I agree with both of you guys and don't understand why the sites cannot function together as they both present unique things.  I'll always be loyal to Scout because of the opportunity they gave me to cover the team, but likewise enjoy a lot of the banter on this site.  I was openly critical of the old Rivals board because no one would moderate it, but Scoop has done a good job of keeping a lively discussion going.

Appreciate your POV Matt.  But be prepared to be reprimanded by your bosses for such comments. ;)
