Finally the Bears found a way to beat the Packers!!

Jinx? Packers 0-3 since Mike Ditka wore Green Bay sweater

At first, Chicago Bears fans were wondering why Mike Ditka would wear a Green Bay Packers sweater in a McDonald's commercial, but now Packers fans must be wondering if there's a jinx associated with the advertisement, as Green Bay is 0-3 since the spot first ran.

"I've got a case of the, 'I don't give a ...'" Ditka said last week on ESPN 1000's Mike Ditka Show when the Packers' losing streak was at two games. "And I do have that [attitude] in life now. When you get old, you're entitled to have that opinion. I don't give a crap."

Green Bay's losing streak reached three Sunday with an upset loss to the Lions.
The irony is not lost on Ditka -- the iconic former Bears tight end and head coach who spent much of his Hall of Fame career feuding with the rival Packers.

"No, I didn't jinx them," Ditka said. "They haven't won a game for other reasons, but it's ironic. They are going to find something to say regardless, good or bad, both Bears and Green Bay fans. It doesn't matter."

Ditka's response is about the best he can give.  He was on Chicago radio and somebody called in upset that he did and he said that people need to "get a life."  Can't argue with that.

Yeah, that's the problem.   Either that or AR having carnal knowledge of a hot actress.

McDonald's ran a new version of the Dikta sweater commercial featuring the clip above.

The Packers won this weekend.

Mike Ditka has ended the Packers curse in new commercial

Seeing Mike Ditka wearing team apparel for anyone other than the Chicago Bears is a bit of a shock. Seeing the Super Bowl winning coach wearing a Packers sweater made some fans question their entire fandom.

Last month in a McDonald's commercial, Ditka put on the green and gold. In a pleasant surprise to those all worked up about the coach's apparent double-crossing, the Packers seemed to take a hit. The then undefeated Packers went on to lose each of their next three games. The Ditka curse was in full force.

Sunday, however, things changed. In a new ad, Ditka pulls off the Packers sweater for his now famous Bears sweater vest. Just as Ditka removed the Packers sweater, the curse was removed.

A few hours after the commercial first aired, the Packers were back on the field against the Vikings. Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay dominated Minnesota and won 30-13.

The Bears, who ended their winning streak Sunday with a loss to Denver, play the Packers Thursday. The long time rivals will have the final game of the day on Thanksgiving.
