MUBasketball

Here we go, down to the final week. I'll probably do one final bracket after the games on Wednesday. After that, the final games are on Saturday and the bracket will be final at that time.

Movement since last Sunday:
Butler +2
St. John's +1
Seton Hall +1
Creighton +1

Xavier -1
DePaul -1
Marquette -1
Georgetown -2

If MU plays like they did for stretches today, they'd have a shot to do some real damage in this bracket. I wouldn't bet on it, but it could be fun.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Hoping for last

Golden Avalanche

Hoping for a loss to DePaul last day of season to ensure they finish ahead of Seton Hall in seventh so that MU can face them first round and win a game in MSG. After that, we get Butler and the old cliche of "beating a team three times in one season" is in our favor.    :-\ :-\

Get real. MU is one and done. Then, thankfully, this lousy season staggers to a close.

I'm quite sure the national title is still within our reach.

Just go on a 10-game tear starting next week and it's ours.

Doable.

Think we could get one. We can beat Seton Hall and DePaul. After that, yeah, what you said.

We could make a run if this was the bracket!

While I'd like to be on the bottom of the bracket, I would rather see us beat DePaul (with Carter in attendance, and for Derrick and Juan's last game) and see Xavier beat Creighton to lock up a tourney bid (they should be solid regardless, but that would put it out of sight). That'd bring us up to the 9-seed by virtue of our win over Providence. Rematch with DePaul for a chance to play Villanova again. Yeah, 'Nova would beat us, but that'd likely help send them to a 1-seed, and I'd love to see that, especially at Bucky's expense.

We got this.

This bracket gives us a shot at a win or two.  Our odds of winning a few go from 2.3% to 4.8%.  Double our chances!!!

You know what? I agree totally with this, brew. Especially if the douchebags can refrain from booing our seniors, Carter is impressed by the show and he commits before he goes home.

If we finish with the same record as Creighton, what is the tie breaker since we split?

MU would be 9th place by virtue of its victory over the Friars.
