Post of the year.  Thanks teamdee.

Quality play on words here.  Juan should start using the window more often.

Don't hold your breath waiting for JA to do anything offensively.

Some teams are just bad matchup for players. Against St. John's shot blocking ability Juan was just overmatched.

Now that sir, is an understatement! The whole team was overmatched against that shot blocking ability. Duane, Steve, Luke, etc. Well, wait, maybe JJJ wasn't judging by that dunk.

TAMU, Knower of Ball

Juan's in a three game slump. Right before the three game skid he posted games with 9 points, 18 points, 9 points, and 14 points. He has contributed offensively up until this part of the season. I'm confident he will work his way out of it. In the mean time, it seems like Wojo is going to give Sandy more minutes (27 minutes last night compared to Juan's 21)

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

I only watched the last 6 minutes after arriving home from coaching my own game, and Juan's crazy up and under reverse layup delivered from the waist with tons of back spin at a crucial juncture with the game on the line was ridiculously bad.  He makes that shot maybe 10% of the time if he's lucky. Senior's got to be smarter than that.

Its hard not to like the kid, though.  For all of his limitations, he gives you everything he's got every game.
Calvin:  I'm a genius.  But I'm a misunderstood genius.
Hobbes:  What's misunderstood about you?
Calvin:  Nobody thinks I'm a genius.

Juan's reverse layup looked like a throw away toss. I exclaimed out loud at that "effort"

chapman

Too many of his "shots" are just throwing the ball in the general direction of the hoop.  Thought he mostly fixed that, but the past three games have been terrible between the shooting and the turnovers.  Not sure what you can do when nobody else can grab rebounds with any consistency.

Yea it is a far cry from the pretty work of art that was the Odartey Blankson Reverse

Time for the Cyganiak benefits trivia of the day.  TeemDee Sports or Benefits?

HutchwasClutch

Juan is playing like Juan.  He can do some things, but overall he's just not very good.  He's had some nice games this year, yes, but over the course of the season, he's just not good enough to maintain any consistent level.

I do all my planning with Seganiak.

C'mon man--he does something offensively every 15 games or so.

He did make a layup Saturday.  Be positive.
