That hitch in his jump shot is gone.  It is smooth, with proper form, ending high.  That is what a summer shooting the ball endlessly does to your game right there.  Good to see.

jsglow

It's better but he still has an unusual delivery.  Let's not paint JJJ out to be Jerry West in terms of form.

Noticed that as well. Wojo teaching some fundamentals!

Yep, there is still quite a bit of an elbow hitch there from what I saw last night and last Saturday.

Earl Tatum

Liked the block from behind, looked like he pinned it on the board in first half.

I don't think I did that...hyperbole can be cute though.

He is very confident when he shoots and it shows .

It took until a replay of his second 3 but that was my thought as well. "Did he fix the hitch in his shot".

It definitely looked different.
Lazar picking up where the BIG 3 left off....

I have worked with a number of "shooting coaches". Never once have i heard one talk about "elbow in" in fact tucking ones elbow and raising ones hand is unnatural.  Raise ur hand likeu would in class, who tucks their elbow to their rib cage n then raises? No one.  Proper shooting hand ball placement, ball on fingers n off palms, proper release, guide hand placement, etc  are significantly more important to accuracy than where the ball starts.  Only issue i have with jjj's form is length of time it takes to get his shot off.

That's also the case for Cohen - will be interesting to see if he can get off during conference play.  What impressed me most with Cohen last night was the drive from right wing, going left, and finishing at the basket with his left.  Very good skill development already for a freshman.
"I'm not sure Cadougan would fix the problems on this team. I'm not even convinced he would be better for this team than DeWil is."

Shooting is a lot like fornicating:   Steady, Aim, Breath, Squeeze.

Which is why Buzz's refusal to insert Johnson into the line-up, coupled with his inability to close on Grandstaff, led to his premature exit from Marquette.  Need shooters in this game.
