Just got to wondering this question.

Curious what the basketball heads at Scoop think.

Not a Memphis follower at all but Keith Lee had a great college career.

Throwing him into the mix.

Other than the two choices listed, those were the first names that came to mind for me.

Lorenzen Wright and William Bedford were also a good players, but for my $$$ I'd take Penny or Lee.

Keith Lee.  And I don't think it's close.  He was a four time all American (first team senior year).  He averaged 18 ppg for his career.  He was pretty much a bust as a pro so I think people overlook him.

I said Kenon earlier and think he was the best overall player out of Memphis - including pro careers.

But as players in college, it is no contest. Keith Lee was far and away the best.

You know the difference between a dentist and a sadist, don't you? Newer magazines.

+1.  I was about to write this when I saw your response.
Calvin:  I'm a genius.  But I'm a misunderstood genius.
Hobbes:  What's misunderstood about you?
Calvin:  Nobody thinks I'm a genius.

Are you talking best while in college or the best to go on and have a pro career?
