Snap!  And #10 in AP.  The win over IUPUI must be getting respect.

Either that, or people fear MSU was too high so they dropped from the top 10  ;)

Wow.  It would seem like it will be very difficult to carry this ranking into the conference season.  We have 11 games before the Big East season starts.  Is it me, or do we have to go 10-1 to keep this ranking?

The 10-1 will be VERY difficult considering we:

- have to beat LSU or Ok State
- beat Duke/Illinois/Arizona State
- are AT Wisconsin (when is the last time we won there?
- assumes absolutely NO upsets (we have been upset two seasons in a row... last year N. Dakota State and the year before Wintrop)

I am thinking we will be 9-2 starting conference.  Given our schedule, that would seem more like a #15-20 ranking.  And, yes, I KNOW, the rankings don't mean anything.  I am just wondering where people think we will be ranked to start the Big East season?

I think 9-2 is fair, as much as I would like to see a goose egg in the loss column. #15-#18 is  my guess

1997, I think.  Been a long time.  Last game MU played in the Field House, as the Kohl Center opened the following season.  Be impressive if we can pull it off this year.

Probably, but also depends on what the other top 25 schools do.  As we've seen already this year, nothing is guaranteed.

I like the lofty ranking, but on the other hand, when you do *finally* lose, the media makes a big deal of it.
