But disregard the above if we are serious about DeWilson playing at the 4 or 5, which might be our best option after Taylor Jr and Fischer if we don't land Darius.

Deonte can play some at the 4, but that still leaves a lot of minutes at the 4 and 5 to fill.
Who was serious about DeWil playing the 4 or 5?  Someone with a crack pipe I'm guessing.
HILLTOP SENIOR SURVEY from 1984 Yearbook:
Favorite Drinking Establishment:

1. The Avalanche.              7. Major Goolsby's.
2. The Gym.                      8. Park Avenue.
3. The Ardmore.                 9. Mugrack.
4. O'Donohues.                 10. Lighthouse.
5. O'Pagets.
6. Hagerty's.

Much like Carlino having Leonard for one year is a no brainer. Otherwise you have an open scholarship. An extra body for practices is always a plus.

If we get him, he is going to play.  We have two bigs and Juan Anderson.   If Darius can run the court and stand between his man and the hoop, he will play. We should be begging him to pick us and come to MU.

I'd go so far as to say we'd be very lucky to have him at this point, unless there is some other option that we don't know about.  At least Darius would draw a big defender out of the paint on offense, if nothing else.

But disregard the above if we are serious about DeWilson playing at the 4 or 5, which might be our best option after Taylor Jr and Fischer if we don't land Darius.  And between Juan and Darius getting playing time at the 4 or 5, I'd bet on Darius.

Deonte can play some at the 4, but that still leaves a lot of minutes at the 4 and 5 to fill.

We should, and I'm sure we will.  That doesn't change the fact that he isn't really that good.  If we don't get him it will probably be over concern on his part that he'll have to be the center more than just a few minutes a game.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Graduate transfers generally don't transfer for the opportunity to be a practice body.

True littleM but with no big(except for Steve T.) for the first half of the year he will get plenty of playing time. My point was simply that there is all pluses in having him next year. MU will be better because of him.

its a good thing camel fights were banned in the US

years ago you might recall a trucking company Campbell 66 and their logo

That's hilarious. I remember those trucks! Not sure if they're still in business but a real slice of Americana. I wonder if they invented the "Trucker Girl" Mud Flaps?

He can't play the 4 or 5 once he's drafted in the NFL!
