Marquette's Opinion of Wojo

So, we know Buzz was expected to continue the success of Tommy and, hopefully, bring the program up a level slightly. We also know that Tommy walked into IU with a long-term rebuild in mind from administration and was going to be given lots of leeway for success vs. time.

So... does anyone know what the administration is expecting from Wojo? Is he being given any time to shift the program in his own direction? Is he expected to produce results from day 1? Is the administration hoping for a long term deal with Wojo?

Love to hear people's thoughts, especially those who might actually be in the know.

When did Brent become a Jesuit?

He needs to hit the ground running...and I'm sure he understands that. No time for an extended honeymoon period.

I think his first priority was to keep the current players together. He did that.

He kept one of Brent's recruits—some would argue the most important one. While it would have been great to see Hill in an MU uniform, it just wasn't very realistic. Wojo was being asked to instantly establish a relationship with recruits that Brent has spend the past two years working. That's a ton to ask.

My opinion of Wojo is extremely positive. At the very least, he won't cut corners or embarrass the university like a certain sweaty, screaming redneck rainman I could mention.

I think Wojo understand the climate and the pressure he's under now but we need to give him the time to set up the program the way he wants it.

If it takes a mediocre season, that's fine as long as the kids are getting experience and he's making up ground with recruiting.

His expectation better be to take us to a final 4 in the next 4 years or we hired the wrong guy

My backside.

I don't expect to BE in a Final Four.

I expect to WIN a Final Four
