TAMU, Knower of Ball

If I'm Wisconsin, I dare Harrison to take that shot in that situation every time. You don't jack up a long contested three when you are down by two. Not when you have more time on the clock. Harrison is lucky it went in or Calipari would be having him do wind sprints until he puked

TAMU

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

muwar2003

If I was Bo,  I would have had a defender in Harrison's pocket.  There was at least 3 -4 feet between the defender and Harrison.  There was no way he would have beat me after he won the last 2 games with the same shot.  I would have stressed to the team that someone else would have to beat us.

That's weird because it doesn't sound like it.

I liked the shot. It was definitely long, but it wasn't really contested. I'm not sure they would have gotten a better shot if they tried to drive, which was his only real option given the set they were in and the time left. How often do we see isolation and an off balance shot to end the game in college now? At least he had a good look.

I think Gasser could have played him a little closer given Harrison's recent history, but I wouldn't go as far to call it bad defense.

Side note, I think it's possible that UW could be better off with Koenig and Jackson on the court together more often next year. I know Bo will start Gasser and probably give him big minutes, but Koenig and Jackson are more talented.

Coleman

The last shot was fine. It was the best Bucky was going to get.

The undefended Harrison three, however, is inexcusable in that situation given what Harrison had done the prior 2 games.

Bronson Koening looks like he's gonna be a helluva player as well.   Kid rose up when the spotlight was on.

"If you truly value Koenig that highly, you're going to be severely disappointed.  We'll see who has the better career between JaJuan Johnson and Dekker, eventually." -LittleMurs

"LOL.  Sorry, you just lost any and all credibility you had.  Koenig is a nice player.  Congrats on getting him.  He also would've been the 5th highest ranked player in Marquette's 6 player recruiting class this past year.  And that's just freshman." -wadesworld

"I have never seen a fan base overate a recruit more than the UW fan base overate Bronson Koenig." -Sultan of Slurpery

Mr. Koenig's son had a 0 point, 0 assist, and 1 turnover night against Platteville as the third PG off the bench with 14 minutes." -Dr. Blackheart"

"Koenig is not going to be significantly better than Brust or Gasser." -tower912

Im sorry, are you a little hurt that your school of UW-Milwaukee is banned from the tournament next year so you bring up an old thread about a school you never even went to?

But we aren't rivals, right? Even though you're on our message board? Thought so.

I'll actually take the high road and say congrats on a nice season.

::) ...cool.

Koenig is going to be really good. Glad someone can at least admit it. Should be some great battles between him and Duane the next couple of years.

No argument, but just wondering what compels you to come on Marquette's message board and convince us all of that?
