I will go against the grain with D.Wilson.  If he plays 15min a game, doesn't turn the ball over, 1.2 steals, 1-2 assists, avg. 2.3 pts and 70%+ free throws, I will say that is a significant and quite efficient improvement.  I hope he becomes a solid bench/role player that can use his physicality on the defensive side of the ball and drive and dish on the offensive side.  Less minutes = addition by subtraction for the team.

I'm sure Dylan Flood is a nice kid. Discussing his future as it relates to the basketball program is a waste of time.

Frankly, I've never understood the love affair w/ the walk-ons.

It's hard not to love the walk-ons when they work just as hard as the players, yet receive none of the glory.  (i'm not saying they should get more playing time or anything like that, i just mean that we should appreciate them)

I appreciate the work they put in in the gym and especially the classroom (a requisite for any walk-on), I just find it extremely hokey when the crowd goes wild every time a walk-on approaches the scorer's table as if Rudy Ruetigger is about to check in.

I think part of it is because we like being in a situation when we CAN play the walkons.  If they check in, it means we are dominating and it also feels good to know that all their hard work is leading to at least a minute of playing time. After all, no one wants to work their ass off and not even see a minute of playing time.
