As with any sales type job, it's pretty hard to quantify the value of the salesman / recruiter relative to the product they are pitching.  Duke is arguably the #1 destination for college basketball players, and without question in the top 3.  So how do you factor that into these rankings?  If you are recruiting for Duke and you only rank 17th, is that bad?  Or do the rankings take that into account and rank recruiters based on the programs expectation?  In any case, he's spent 15 years with a program that consistently recruits at the very highest level and must have picked up some valuable insight and connections in that time.
