Common sense would be u don't reach out to a coach when he's still playing....seems they waited with shaka.  Be a good way to piss a coach off.

Yeah, no one ever tampers or talks to someone through third party sources. Never happens.

For all you naive people that believe that BS, go listen to the Kenneth Tarr recordings.

Blackhat

Of course talks go through third parties, that's the norm.

However, most people know not to bother the coach when they're in the middle of the most important part of their season.

Sir, theres nothing mid major about the A-10

Other than the entire bottom half of the conference?  There are some really strong programs in the A 10, but there are also programs that make DePaul look great.

Finally someone who gets it. Milwaukee is a small market city. We play in an outdated hockey
arena, and the Bucks are barely an NBA team. The Wisconsin talent pool is not that deep. Not sure why everyone thinks the Marquette job is so
attractive? Lots of homers drinking up the blue and gold Kool-aid. I love Marquette as much as anyone, but lets
be realistic. We are a mid-major. I doubt Shaka would have even talked to us if it were not for Doc.

Where bugs bunny when we need him.   Maaa-rooooon!. alert!!!!!

If MU contacted Miller, whether directly or indirectly, then the people conducting the search are dumber than we think.

The first step to recovery is admission. Your clueless if you think we are a destination
job. Don't pretend to be something your not and you will be better for it.

Recovery from what? Marquette is one of the best programs in a conference that will be 3rd-5th best every season. I cannot fathom how any informed CBB fan can call that a MM. Marquette is not the job it was in the days of the old Big East but it is still easily a top 25 or 30 job and program. If you call that a MM, that proves how clueless you are.

what is your definition of  a high major? To me it is the big dog in the state. A school that thrives in more than just one major sport. A school that owns its own arena on campus. Does any of that describe Marquette?

MUSF

Somebody explain to me how Miller's resume is better than Martin's. I'm not seeing it.

A high major college basketball team is a team that competes in a major conference that routinely is one of the top 50 teams year in and year out, invests money in their basketball program and is in postseason play nearly every year.

How in the world can you describe a school that spends more on their men's basketball program than any school in the country besides Duke a MM??

What you just described is a big state school. Every team that is not a state school is not just automatically a MM.

That's a very unique and bizarre definition. I'm not sure anyone in college bball would agree with it.

top 50 is not a high major. Ask Tom Crean and Buzz Wiliams how much of a destination school Marquette is.
Both left because at the end of the day neither one was able to recruit the players they wanted to. They had to settle
for the second tier guys and had to develop cultures of out working the other more talented teams. Milwaukee is a small
market town. That is not going to change and neither will the national perception of Marquette. Just because you have
money and spend it on your program means nothing.
