To answer original posters question:  No.

Hell of a lot better to have some info, speculation, etc., than nothing at all.  The Shaka deal went sideways at last minute.  Far too many reputable insiders who thought that was happening.  Things change.  Sure the SMU fanbase last year thought they had Buzz...people change their minds.

Have no idea how someone with NO info would hate on people that pass along the things they hear as or from well connected sources..

once again, a message board misses the meaning.  i have no problem with people speculating, guessing, hoping, or whatever.  what i have a problem with is people claiming they have inside info and we all believe it.  

what is goose/keefe/whoever else's connection to the program???  i know people that work in the office, but don't know anything about the hiring. so i'm wondering where they get their great info and why people treat them as gospel readers.

... I have to hand it to you - I haven't heard the term "slobbering the knob" since my time at MU.
