Have not heard a compelling case for MU's alleged lack of interest.  Only heard he's a bit of an ass- so what?

Did mechaghidorah get a new user name?

See..... there are these tools people can use to look up recruits for each school.    Scout.com, Espn.com

Recruits are graded by stars:  2-3-4-5 and NR = Not Ranked.

Take a look at Marshall's recruiting over the last few years and tell me what you see!!!

Nah,  too lazy.
Warrior As defined by Webster's:
A person who fights in battles and is known for having courage and skill

Bottom line is winning- look up his record- at Winthrop and Wichita.  If he's a poor recruiter- then he must be a helluva coach.

Could also mean he's a fantastic recruiter, in that he knows how to identify and reel in the guys he needs within the resources available to him - expand those resources and.........

He would be Crean 2.0, even kind of looks like him.  Which should put him at a distant second on our list.

So we simultaneously have people knocking Howland's recruiting because anybody can recruit to UCLA and knocking Marshall for not drawing higher rated recruits to Wichita...

Dude can certainly coach.  But from a few things I've read he sounds like a pain in the ass to deal with, kinda like the worst parts of Crean and Buzz all rolled into one.

Yeah, and Marquette want's someone who can recruit and coach.  Marshall's success is directly related to the 1 and done rule in the NCAA right now.  Due to the parity in the NCAA, his senior laden teams have a distinct advantage with experience and physicality.  If this rule ever changes.. perhaps to 2 and done, he won't have the same success.  Look at Kentucky.  They are a young team and still won.  Add another year onto that squad and the outcome is probably a double digit win against Wichita St.

Marshall has always been a good coach, but he's never going to bring in elite talent.  Many of his guys are Division 2 and 3 transfers.

D2 and D3 transfers....ok, what the unnatural carnal knowledge are you talking about

Litehouse

That, and a bunch of jucos.  If MU had a problem with Buzz bringing in too many jucos, Marshall would be the last guy to consider.

Gregg Marshall is one of the top 5 coaches in all of college basketball.  Abrasive personality but the guy can flat out coach!

I'm going with the sight test...a nice big number under the W column.  Just as long as the smell isn't so bad I gag.
