Was just going to bring this up...well, the subject at least  :)

Some information seems to state that things had become worse than ever over the past few months.  Sooo...Larry departs, hallelujah for Buzz!  Bill Cords enters and things between Buzz and just about everyone deteriorate, worse than ever.  Following that through, it would seem that Cords answered the call from somewhere in Idaho, returned and noticed certain aspects of the department were not as he had left them.  Having served MU for so long and done more than we should have to ask of him, he cannot in good faith just leave things be.  Not going with the "forced out" route, but certainly Cords was not going to bend over if things were not working in alignment with how he believed they should be, even if that made someone uncomfortable.  And unlike Larry, way too many have Bill's back.
