MU still had Bo Ellis on the team.  Or Dean.  Or Jerome.  Or Doc.  Or DWade.

That would be so great, you know?

Or Junior.  Or Vander.  Yeah, that would be so great.

🏀

Are you kidding me?

Doc wouldn't even start over Derrick because he wasn't an upper classmate.

You would have absolutely loved Bo. Great player, great person. Showed promise as a freshman and fulfilled it completely at MU.

There is a reason he is the only MU player to get to two Final Fours

Goose

Bo did more than show promise as a freshmen. He was impact player from day one and Al played him as such.

I saw Bo and I did love to watch him play.  I guess I didn't make my point clearly enough.  I revel in the notalgia threads, and love talking about old MU bball.  But pining [whining?] for the past is for cowards and losers.  (With apologies to Coach Ditka).  I am sick of the "if only we had Vander/Junior/Jae/Jimmy etc." threads.

Benny B

I just wish Al was still kicking.  I would have loved for him to see the levels to which the program has risen since his passing.

Then again, would we still be where we are if the legend was still in the making today?

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.
