I was more looking at the older alumni.

I recently read an article about the surge of 50+ age group online presence, particularly in social media and online forums. The author further dove into the particular use of these vehicles for complaining, negativity and attacks on subject matters that they wouldn't normally express in the real world.

I think 50+ers may be just getting caught up with what the other "age brackets" have been doing for years now.

I'm not even halfway to 50 

I prefer the moniker Warrior over Golden Eagle any day. But I chose to be TAMU Eagle instead of TAMU Warrior because I was a Golden Eagle. I didn't know how the...how did hairy put it?....old farts would react to a young whipersnapper using the mascot of the Golden years when I lived in just the Golden Eagle years.

As for the whole age thing. I joined because I miss my university and talking Marquette basketball. Not even just Marquette basketball, but college basketball in general. It's selection Sunday and all these f**king farmers can talk about is if the Texans will draft Johnny Football.

Well I'm well past 50. I joined here in 2006 so I don't think I have added to the number of warriors on this board. I don't think that the increase in complaints and negativity have anything to do with warriors or golden eagles; just a very disappointing season. As to folks over 50 complaining and being more negative all I have to say is here in Jersey we had a prominent case of an 18 year old suing her parents forcing them to pay for her college simply because she did not want to follow her parents rules while living under their roof. Talk about an entitled generation.

Don't have an exact figure but it was enough to make the upper management pause and consider turning it down. We took it because...well...our basketball program really needs something to hang their hat on since Turgeon left.

I am fifty+  and I would post more but I have not figured out  how to access this site from my rotary phone at home and my bag cell phone is not very good either.  Plus my DOS operating system on my apple IIC has limitations too.   I should probably go get an upgrade and get one of those new flip phones soon.

Getting DOS to run on an Apple IIC is actually a very impressive technological achievement.
