1.   Phenomenal game.   Players left it all out there.    Lousy ending
2.   Todd, stick around next year.   You were the bomb last night.
3.   John Dawson, nice game.   Still making silly freshman mistakes, but you have exceeded my expectations.   You still shouldn't be starting.
4.   Another game where MU was not the tougher team.    Buzz's coaching hasn't changed.   I put it on the pupils.
5.   Oh, Davante, if only regulation had lasted one second longer.    That was awesome.   Ultimately fruitless, but awesome nonetheless.
6.   Chris, my wish for you for senior day (your 3rd, I think) is that you remember how to finish.   I prefer watching you when you are aggressive at the rim.
7.    Defense on Cotton was solid by all involved.   A bunch of points from the foul line, high volume shooters are going to make shots eventually.    Defensive principles and execution was solid, overall.
8.   Poor choices at the end.   Jake WAS fouled, but Cotton was so aggressive he deserved the call.    The in-bounds pass to Cotton WAS up for grabs, but that is just a dumb play.
9.   Over the last 5 years, this is the kind of game MU found a way to win.   This year, just not meant to be.

I missed most of the first half of the game.    I was doing CPR on a guy my age and then explaining to his wife and children everything we had done, how their husband/father was being transported to the hospital now because he had a tenuous pulse, but that, IMO, the prognosis was not good and they needed to prepare for the worst.   When I got back to the station, I watched the end of the first half, half-time, and the start of the second half over my shoulder while I did he report on this call.    So, from my perspective, it was an exciting game, a disappointing finish, but in the end.......... just a game.

Go hug your kids.   You never know when it will be for the last time.

Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.
