I am weirdly fascinated by this topic.  Don't own any, will probably never own any, but always interested in stories about them.

I mined one litecoin (smaller less valuable version of bitcoin) and have watched the entire crytpocurrency market tank (BTC from ~$900 to under $600) in the last two weeks.  The problem right now is there is no security.  They have a ton of scam problems.
