Someone tweeted him about Bucky and asked if MU was in the tourney as of now. He said he stll at Bucky at a 4 and regarding us "not yet".

Could be just a literally meaning that we are not yet in but with those choice of words does he possibly have us a lot closer to making it then we all believe? I think it at least shows that he's not expecting us to run the table or go 7-1.

Either way, definitely proves that Heisenberg was smoking some of his own creation regarding the badgers.

Honestly, I think we are a lot closer then everyone believes. Our perception is very skewed because of our 3 seeds the past 2 seasons. I was looking at one of the Northwestern website and what they consider a bubble record is way less then what we all think and that is with losses to Illinois St. and Depaul. Also ill take their word for it considering when Shurna was there they were the definition of a bubble team.

I still see MU finishing 3rd in the Big East. If that happens, it is likely going to be good enough.

What in the world are you smoking to see 7-1 or even 6-2?

Our longest winning streak this year is 2 games and IUPUI, Fullerton and
Grambling were each involved in one of our 2-game winning streaks.

Without those 3 cupcakes, we would not have a single 2 game winning streak this year and you want to suggest we will go 6-2 or 7-1?

You're either crazy or an incredible optimist.

I like it is known on here I am basically the exact opposite of an opptomist.

But just to follow up on the assumption you have little to no intelligence...where did I say we would go 7-1 or 6-2?

No matter what our record is at the end of this regular season, we simply cannot afford to lose in the first game of Big East tournament. We may need the victory to get an NCCA bid or we may need the victory to get an NIT bid.

If we have a winning record, it won't matter what we do in the BET. The NIT would be thrilled to have Marquette. A lot more thrilled than most of us will be to have Marquette in the NIT (but I will watch the games if I can).

Just reading too fast. You said "6-2 were in. I will bet anything on it." Maybe it was the grammar that made me think you were saying we would go 6-2.

But I disagree with your premise anyway. It's 50/50 at best even if we go 6-2. We would still need at least 2 wins in BET, IMO.

And for a team that has only had a 2 game winning streak because of the cupcakes on the schedule, 6-2 is quite optimistic.

That was on a different thread anyways. And what this thread is pointing out is that Lunardi's answer seems to imply that something like 6-2 would be just fine for us. Otherwise why say "not yet" if we have to pretty much run the table?

As I said in other threads I highly doubt we do go 6-2, I just think that should we go 6-2 we are in.
