Duke is 14 for 32 from 3pt land

You're never out of it if you can hit this shot ... and Duke is tonight.

Some ridiculous foul calls...the one that knocked Parker out for instance.

GGGG

Jesus...they foul Parker out on a slight foul and absolutely screw Cook over on that slam.  Wow.

College basketball refs are terrible.  Really bad.

No kidding! The three can really change the flow of the game. It's a shame we lack that ability.

What a finish at the Boise St- UNLV  game on CBSSN. 17-2 run for UNLV, to win by 4.

BSU coach probably can't coach either.

over 35,000 in attendance.  some of those fans had to be like 3 blocks away from the floor-i understand the atmosphere and everything, but i still would want to see the game.  hopefully they had t.v.'s out there or something to see what was going on.  that's what happens when you have a basketball game in a football stadium...and they don't want to pay the players other than their tuition...whatever...

There ain't nothin' else to do in Syracuse. Sidewalks close at 7 p.m. and it snows each day.

Helps to have 30,000 students within 1000 yards of the stadium.

Syracuse is a private school with 14,000 undergrads. Are u stupid in every thread or just most threads?

Correct Cuse has 14,000 undergrads and 6100 grad students for a total is 21000.  Not 30,000.  So why don't grad students go to games?  Just so you can take a shot at more to make yourself feel better?  Or are you a badger fan realizing I'm correct and the epic collapse to the NIT is underway?

-------

Interestingly, Cuse game had 35,000 (largest ever at Cuse).  Student enrollment of 21,000 is roughly two-thirds this size.

MU largest attendance ever was about 19,100.  Total student enrollment is 12,000 (8500 under grads and 3500 grad students) or roughly two-thirds the size.

Could attendance merely start with enrollment size of the school which leads to the size of the alumni base?  So, you want MU to sell out every game?  Increase the size of the school by 25% to 50%.

Will better play do it?  See Nova, see Georgetown.  They never draw as we'll as us no matter how good they are.  So, is school size more important than record when projecting attendance?

GGGG

I don't think it has much to do with school size.  Syracuse is in a metropolitan area of 600k....Rochester, about 100 miles away, is in a metropolitan area of 1M+.  Niether has any major league professional sports.  Syracuse basketball is the *only* game in town.  It's the thing to do.

Creighton
Undergrads: 4,153
Post-grads: 3,577
17,000 season ticket holders

Georgetown
Undergrads: 7,590
Post-grads: 9,540
Averaged just under 11,000 last year.

Large enrollment certainly helps (see every B1G team). However, I'm going to say boring market has more to do with it than enrollment. Medium sized city, nothing to do. The other thing the B1G/Kansas/Kentucky/Louisville/Syracuse all have in common is no pro teams in their cities.

(See Dayton for another example)
