Considering  all these "far more important interests", where do you find time to post over 8,000 messages on a college basketball board. Sounds like a really full life. But he has seen it all and done it all.

Hey now, 8000 messages (most of them pretty funny) since 2006.  I, for one (and most here would agree) are happy to read 4evers comments, humor, etc.

Good for him spending time with the wife today.  Doesn't make him any less a fan, his eyes just aren't deceiving him and we aren't the most compelling product to watch this year.  It's unfortunate, expectations were very high...too high in my opinion.

+1

It's looking like it's probably not our year this year.  It's a humbling year for both the fans and people within the program.  Personally, it makes me enjoy the success from the past three seasons even more and appreciate how fine the line is between winning and losing, but there is still a LONG way to go this season.  We all know the potential that the players on the team have.  We've seen great games from Todd, Derrick, and Davante the last few games.  They have the talent, it's just not clicking yet.

Sooner or later Buzz will get everyone on the same page, and when that happens, look out.  What if they gain some confidence shooting and finish 13-5 in conference?  What if they get hot in NYC and win the tourney then make another run?  It'd be an incredible story of overcoming adversity.  This team could still easily go from everyone's least favorite team, to the most beloved in recent memory.  In Buzz I trust.

Don't live in Colorado, I can take it, and I'll still watch, knowing we only have 28 days til pitchers and catchers report.  8-)

Fortunately, we weren't the consensus #1 team in country with two lottery picks on the roster. Imagine the outrage if we were unable to perform with such a wealth of talent.

Yo Bro, I've attended/watched Warriors basketball for literally 45 years. I've seen it all and done it all.  My loyalty/support to Marquette pales the average grad. Bottom line, it's just a game that impacts very few. I have interests that are far more important than whether MU kicks Butler's ass on Saturday afternoon. Step back and smell the roses 'cuz life's too short to get all in a lather for somethin' ya can't control.

I don't get all in a lather, but I do watch the Warriors play.

It's a sickness this year, perhaps, but if the only cure is apathy, it's a cure my body and mind rejects.

I think that the vast majority of MU fans are far more realistic about the team's place in their life. Hell, my wife was part of the program but once she left Marquette she invested virtually zero time on university athletics.

I remember talking with Rosiak back in '07 and he said that the people on Scoop and Scout were likely less than .001% of Marquette's fans but accounted for more than 95% of the internet noise. He characterized the commentary here as enthusiastic at best though closer to obsessive in reality.

I was looking forward to this season but it was pretty clear early on that this wasn't going to end well. Still, I enjoy following the team despite the frustrations. My only stated opinions have been that Buzz ought to try something a bit more bold or adventuresome as what he has been using is not delivering more satisfactory results. Other than that, I get far greater meaning from family, friends, colleagues, and the scientific and charitable works I am involved in. Marquette basketball is that refreshing dollop of sorbet between those other main courses. Eating nothing but sorbet is unhealthy.

Hate to say it but I checked out weeks ago. Busy with work and when free times do not want to get frustrated watching bad ball. New Years Eve game was pretty much it for me. Must admit though just got off a 15 hour flight and first thing I checked was the score.

Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Him and the missus had a lovely dinner and then watched a nice romantic movie together. Got to stop and smell the roses you know.
