Buzz asked about Last play of regulation in Todd getting the three

Buzz: I am really tired. I thought how we handled the last 2 min...we were down every possession until Todd hit the three...I thought we played with good poise...we were in the bonus...we did not just jack up threes...how we played offense to defense alternating with the calls we had to make...played with good poise which you have to play with to win a game against a good team like this....

No answer, complete BS

[Homer: You had to be perfect...]

Buzz: I got kind of lost...normally I can go things chronologically about the things that happened during the game. The shot clock violation...all the stuff that was happening..when they were reviewing the play......I cannot go thru it in my mind right now....

More BS

Mayo said an assistant coach told him, "if you get the ball, shoot it."

I guess Buzz didn't need his white board.

Here is the play.  Inbound the ball, get it to J. Wilson at the top of the Key, pass it to Mayo on the wing a couple feet outside the 3pt arc for a wide open three.  No screens.  Just a great play and great coaching, right.

Mu made clutch fgs and fts and played great in OT, but GT lost this game in regulation with a stupid foul on a GT ft attempt and a missed ft by an 85% ft shooter with 17 sec left.

We R Final Four

Doesn't Buzz understand that the first two minutes are equally important as the last two? Why all the question bout the last two min? The first two are just as important.
If Mayo makes that 3 in the first 30 sec.... Ho hum it's OT.  ::)

Are you serious? You can't see how a lead earlier the game would impact the opponent's strategy & play calling, changing everything in the game?

The last-minute shots are unique because they aren't answerable.

you missed Chicos' comments earlier in the week talking about how every event in a game is the same as any other regardless of when it takes place.

He's right. In fact, Marquette plans on fouling Villanova all throughout the game in an effort to turn the entire 40-minute affair into a FT shooting contest.
