My God, Ners, could you PLEASE give it a rest. The thousands of words you've written about Derrick since your first self imposed moratorium on ripping him was unfortunately and inexplicably lifted are enough already. We know that you think he's the worst starting point guard in the Big East. We know you think he should be removed from the rotation. Your eye test (you say strange things like "Dawson sees the floor better" - huh?) trumps what Buzz sees in games, practices and the locker room. When Buzz says he's the best defensive player he's coached I can only assume you think he's a fool or a liar. You're quick with stats that point to his weaknesses (yes, everybody here acknowledges that he has major weaknesses) but if someone points out his assist to turnover ratio is off the charts good that doesn't count.

You have an opinion. Some agree, others don't. In another thread you even concede you're hoping for him to fail. Whatever. The chances that you'll get any new converts or lose any of your allies is pretty much nil. You've been piling it on this kid for what seems like forever. Please stop.

Don't try and imply Todd as the veteran leader.

Give him consistent minutes and see what happens. New Mexico game shifted when he first came in.

He's a junior and theoretically the most talented guard on the team.  Maybe he's not a veteran leader, but he definitely should be.

Why can't he be a veteran leader? This is his 3rd year, same as Jamil and maybe being the "man" will be good for his consistency. Might also help Jamil by taking an unwanted burden from his shoulders...this was supposed to be Vander's team.
