Working on FutureGen 2.0 then?

I know some of the guys in ND working FutureGen. Over the years, our professors have contributed to that effort which is focused on reducing COx emissions. It doesn't address elemental Hg which is our emphasis. The irony is that the Hg research has been funded by DoE and conducted in the U Dub labs by American scientists. Because of coal and power industry lobbying the EPA has been stymied from enforcing legislation on Hg reduction passed by Congress 20 years ago. But don't get me wrong - FutureGen is an important step in reducing green house gas emissions which is beneficial for anything that breathes or lives in the sunlight.

Keefe's pics are a double edged sword. They have cracked me up many a time, but I've also been victim to opening something visually questionable at work while on Scoop. Its a risk I have to take, if I am going to peruse the Scoop during the workday. Know what you are getting into. Keefe's tips for obscuring your monitor are actually pretty helpful.

Overall, I am hesitant to demand that someone stop posting pictures on an internet forum, as long as they are not obscene (and Keefe's certainly are not). It would kill a lot of the fun we have here.

Just use caution and if you are worried about someone seeing, don't go on Scoop.

Easy to use, will hide the page's images by clicking on the extension's icon next to the address bar.  If you think it's safe, you can click to show them all.

I also remember the mods suggesting using the old mobile site, which doesnt display pictures.

Use Alt + Tab to toggle between screens.  Right hand on the mouse and left hand on the...on the keyboard, yes, on the keyboard.  For maximum privacy, couple with one of the abovementioned suggestions.

Agreed Keefe's posts are pretty tiresome

Disagree.  Keefe initially annoyed me, as I thought he was too bossy and braggy (Berenstain bears reference, for any parents out there in scoop land) but then I realized that Keefe is a critical thinking, insightful and very capable guy.   With more life experience than most.

Let me put it another way:  his posts often have me thinking while engaged in tedious tasks (rush hour traffic/elevator rides/on hold with the Time Warner Cable wench).

Come on...give the guy a break.  His posts are consistently funny and he does an admirable job of perpetuating while rarely directly participating in all the girlie slap fights that go on around here.  One of the few posters that I look forward to reading.  Unless he's writing about his career at some multi-national corporation...those are kind of hard to take...no offense Keefe.

Dos Equis "Most Interesting Man in the World" asks Keefe for advice. This board would be a wasteland without him.

Keefe---really, working on clean coal--c'mon man--our Fearless Leader has already told us that coal fired anything is passé and will lead to bankruptcy. Better yet, work on installing shatter proof backboards for MU thunderous dunks.

lol clean coal.

Yup, not pretty on a PC, but this should work to eliminate any images...

There may be another way, but I'll have to play around a bit.

Keefe is outside the box.   Digging it.  Don't always read his whole posts and his pics are usually friggin huge but his retort in this thread was dyn-o-mite.

Great line. I agree Keefe is the most interesting man on scoop or beyond.

Coleman

He doesn't always post pictures, but when he does its of half-naked Israeli women or New Yorker cartoons...
