Generally, it’s not a good idea to base your best guess about a game’s outcome on the records of the teams involved. Granted, there are exceptions. Any game involving Grambling State (currently winless vs. Division I foes) springs to mind. But win-loss marks can be deceiving, which is why the Marquette faithful needn’t be too despondent about their team’s chances Thursday night at Xavier.... http://analytics.misix.com/marquette-9-6-1-1-big-east-at-xavier-12-3-1-1/
