Fran is leading at Wiscy in the second half.   Dislikes back to back calls, gets a double T, bumps an official, and sets off a 10-2 run by the Badgers.   Losing your mind because you aren't getting calls at the Kohl hole?   Dumb.

Agree that he was an idiot and out of control.

But the officiating had become ridiculous for about 5 straight minutes.  Basically was giving the game to UW.  Now his being an idiot pretty much cemented it as a loss for them.

As the opposing team at the Kohl you just aren't going to get calls, that's just how it is. Can't stop it, so you need to remain calm and accept it.

One T to send a message is fine...but this guy just lost it.  A double T is bad enough, but bumping the ref was just stupid.  If they weren't getting calls before that, they sure as heck weren't going to get them after....

Yeah. UW probably wins regardless, but the Iowa coach turned a near coin flip into an almost sure loss. Not smart.

Very disappointing for Iowa.  Wisc made 5-6 free throws from the incident and won by 4.  Then Fran gets hit with a suspension and $10k fine.  While I understand his frustration - UW gets all the calls at home and the officiating has become so arbitrary it's ridiculous - he should know better.

What's the story on his wife?
