Marquette will welcome Creighton to the Big East by giving them a home loss and showing them they cannot simply outscore teams in our conference.  Marquette will finish in the top 3 of the conference and be solidly in the NCAA (although we will be hoping to avoid an 8 seed rather than wondering if we can sneak out a 3 seed), while Creighton will finish outside of the top 4 of the Big East and be solidly on the bubble for the NCAA Tournament.

No clue why I'm going with this as my head doesn't truly believe any of it, but I'm sticking to this prediction.

Winning programs usually find a way to win and the Buzz edge adds to that. Do not think it is a crazy prediction. I still believe the young guys help carry us from this point on.

Really hope you get to brag about this a la Brew last season.

Creighton's in for a rough go. Buzz was just fookin' around in non-conference. 'Bout to let the dogs out.

Let the young kids play, Buzz.

Goose

The two freshmen will play more and more and they make DWil a better PG. having them on the floor provides scoring options and helps us a great deal.

You should watch this team play sometime soon--you would probably have a different opinion if you did.  ;D

Non Conference results sucked this year, but didn't Michigan State have a season a couple years ago where they struggled in non conference play, won either the Big 10 regular season or tourney, and then make it to the Sweet 16? Tough non conference builds character.

Other than the ohio state loss the I there'd were a possession or two losses. The potential is there. Have to realize it

It was 2003.  4 non-conference losses (including Toledo) and they made the Elite Eight.

2004 they had 6 non-conference losses, but lost in the first round, and 2011 they had 4 non-conference losses and lost in the first round.

In 2010 they had 3 non-conference losses (UNC, Texas and Florida) and went to the final four.  But I'm not sure losing those three games qualifies a team as 'struggling"

Would not surprise me at all if we beat them.  Thread title is a bit dramatic for this prediction.
